Back in 2017, the relationship between Paul George and the Indiana Pacers was in its death throes and the only way to put it out of its misery would be to find the All-Star forward a new home. Many teams were suitors for George’s services, but to the surprise of many, including George himself, PG would end up going to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for guard Victor Oladipo and forward Domantas Sabonis.
What will come as a surprise to many is that PG nearly ended up in Cleveland where he would have been paired with Lebron James.
PG goes into detail on how he thought he was going to become a Cavalier on his Podcast P with Paul George:
George did not indicate the parameters of what a potential Cleveland deal would have entailed but what do you think the Cavs would have to part with in order to acquire George and what would a LeBron/PG pairing would have looked like?
